The three vivid memories

I have a lot of vivid memories. The most three vivid memories from my life are the last two weeks in high school, my sister wedding day, and when my dad was in intensive care at a hospital.

      The first impressive memory was my last two weeks in my high school. It was bad days, because I had to have a good grade so I could go to university and choose the major that I like. I studied hard in the last month before the exam, but during the final exam like the two weeks, I wasn’t able to eat, sleep, or have fun because  I didn’t want to spend any time without studying. I remember  these days everyone was angry because the worried that something bad would happen to me. Even my mom was with me in my room and she tried to help me. When I finished the exam, I realized that my voice changed and I lost six kilograms. So it was a vivid memory to me.

     Next, I remember my sister’s wedding day because she is both my best friend and sister . we’re like twins we love each other so much. I enjoyed that day because I felt so happy and sad in the same time. This is because she would travel to her honeymoon and after that she would  live in another city so I was going to miss her. I remember the next day we were talking to each other on the phone and we started crying and I remember that she said “ok I’ll come back and live with you “ that was very, very funny because I was 19 and she was 21 years old so we were like a children. So it’s a vivid memory and I’ll not forget it.

     Finally, I remember  when my dad was in intensive care at the hospital. The worst was that the doctors didn’t know what the problem was my family planed that they would come on the spring break to go to Disney world so everything was messy. It is the worst weekend. I just was crying because I felt weak. I couldn’t do anything for them. So I planned to go back to my country because no one wanted to say the true. I felt they were hiding something. The problem was that I didn’t know how to buy a ticket and I asked my sister to help me but she told my mother and my mother rejected my idea to go back to my country. she said that my dad is ok and in a few days he can talk to me . so I remember these days because it was difficult for me and vivid.

     Overall these were my vivid memories that I’ll never forget. My last two weeks in high school, my sister wedding day, and when my dad was in the intensive care at the hospital. I hope that I will have great memories in the future.

My memory

                  I have a lot of memories, but I can’t remember most of them. In fact most people can’t remember. We always remember the most important memories for us. What I can remember until now is watching soccer back there in my home country, and the years of my high school and my graduation from high school. 

                  

                       One of my favorite memories is watching soccer in my home country. I love watching soccer with my friends. We mostly watched matches in the restaurant. The most memorial match for me was in 2009. It was a strong match between the two teams but my team had won the game. That was a really good day for me.

                      

                        The years of my high school was the best years of my life. I have a lot of memories with my friends and teachers. For example I always eat breakfast with my friends. I loved high school because it was mostly fun. Finally I wish if I can repeat these days from high school.

                          I finished high school last year. My parents didn’t come to the graduation party. They were in Dubai. My uncle came instead of them. My graduation was perfect and I enjoyed that day.

                          I think people can make a strong memory if they made more important activity’s. that’s why sad memories are always memorized. So In my opinion , we should think about bad things in a nice way to make a lot of happy memories.    

The Three Most Vivid Memories of My Life

     This is the first to write autobiography. I was thinking for all day about what three memories I would choose. It was not easy to choose three memories because many memories appeared in my mind. The three most vivid memories are participating in a play club in my college, seeing my boyfriend (my future husband) and coming to the USA.

      First, the memory of participating in a play club named "pierrot" in my college made me happy. This club performed a play once a year in May. The club members who are casted practiced almost every day and the rest of the members had a discussion about designing the stage, music and stage properties. I was casted once as a supporting actor. I remembered "tension" right before starting the performance. Some members shed their tears after the curtain fell. After the performance was finished, we had a party. I loved the party. Without a doubt, participating in the play club in my college made elated.

      Second , the memory of seeing my boyfriend (my future husband) made me feel delightful. One of my friends fixed me up him about the time when I graduated from my college. My husband said to me when he saw me, he fell in love at first and he thought I was like an angel and a fairy. He had a good personality. We dated for four years until we got married. I was very happy. I felt that I was like a princess. Whenever I remember the date with my husband, it makes me feel delightful.

       The last is the memory of coming to the USA with my family. My husband had a dream to study in the USA before we got married but the dream never came true. After we got married, he worked at Samsung. He tried to get a job in the USA from ten years ago but he didn't get a job. We gave up to come to the USA. So when we heard he will be transferred to IBM in New York, we were very surprised. The first day when my family arrived JFK, we were very grateful to god. So this memory makes me very happy.

        In some, the memory of participating in play club in my college, seeing boyfriend (my future husband) and coming to the USA makes me happy. I want to cherish these memories forever.

My Unusual Past

                Today, I was reminded about my past. My past was thrilling, naughty, and sweet. I had a traffic accident, I spent my one year’s allowance money to buy a PSP, and I had an awesome 17 birthday. They were all my impressive memories.

                First, I had a thrilling memory of a traffic accident when I was seven. That day, my uncle rode a bicycle and took me to my school. We came to a traffic light and waited for the red light to became the green light and people could walk across the road. When my uncle was walking across the road, a big truck’s driver didn’t pay attention. The truck hit my uncle and I. I didn’t  know what happened next. Until now, I’m still afraid when I talk about this experience.

               Another memorable experience was a naughty memory because I spent my one year’s allowance money to buy a PSP. When I studied in middle school, many of my classmates had PSP. I wanted to ask PSP from my father, but he refused my request. I was so sad and started to save money. After one year, I spent my one year’s allowance money to buy the PSP. Until now, My mother still talks with her friends about how I was crazy and use one year’s allowance money to buy a PSP.

               After that, I had a sweet memory because I spent an awesome birthday in my high school. That day, my school had a “singer show”. When my friend finished their song, they added “Happy Birthday to Xin” in the songs end. Before the show finished, my best friend took a big cake and came to me. He walked and sang ”Happy  Birthday”. Then, some students sat around me, they also started to sing “Happy Birthday”. Finally, all of school’s students started to sing “Happy Birthday”. That was the best sweet memory in my past.

              In sum, I had many kinds of memories and a meaningful past. I like to remember my past because I have more wonderful memories than bad memories.  

My impressive memories

        Since my birth, I have a mass of memory in my mind. I have happy and unhappy memories. I would like to share my impressive memories including my first day of primary school, wearing my mom's high-heeled shoes and using her makeup, also being a volunteer.
        When I was in kindergarten, I was very jealous of my sister that they could attend primary school, and every time they returned home, they would show me how many little red flowers they got from teachers, I wanted flowers too. Finally, I attended primary school, and I was so excited. Like a bird, hand in hand with my father walked on the campus. Then he took me to go to the dormitory and told me he would go the restroom and he would be back in a flash. However, he didn't come back, I realized my father cheated me. This was my impressive memory of my first day that I attended primary school, I never forget it.
         The second, I still remember the scene when I was wearing my mom's high-heeled shoes and using her makeup. That day, my mom left me alone and she went to the supermarket. I sneaked into her room, stood in front of the delicate dressing table and in accordance with my mom everyday make up appearance, started to put make up on my face. Certainly, my face looked terrible, had an unsightly red mouth and looked uneven skin tone, but I felt good. And I opened the shoe cabinet to find out my favorite high-heeled shoes. Then I was wearing it and stood in front of the mirror do a different position. I thought I was pretty and waited for my mom to commend me, but she didn't do that. Instead she scolded me. Wearing high-heeled shoes and using makeup are important part of my memory.
         The last interesting activity in my mind is the first time being a volunteer, this just happened recently. I was Clean Sweep volunteering at New Platz. The people of the church prepared of breakfast for us and gave us a trash bag and disposable gloves, they let us to go main stress to pick up garbage. Actually, our town didn't have a lot of garbage therefore our task was not too hard. I was glad I didn't waste a good weekend, after we cleaned up, we sang a song and returned home. Cleaning up the town was my first experience being volunteer, thus I think next time I will try other volunteer activities.
         In sum, I am sharing my impressive memories, first day to attend primary school, wearing my mom's high-heeled shoes, and using her makeup, and my first time being a volunteer. These were my important memories of my life.

A Busy Spring Vacation

    It was a little busy spring vacation because I had many things to do during the vacation.

The first was go to Albany to see my friend and her lovely baby. The second was go to the

Korean hair salon in New Jersey. The Third was go to the dentist with my younger son.

   The first thing that I did was to go to Albany. One of my charming friends moved to Albany at the end of last December and she gave birth to a lovely baby son. Since she moved there, I was

too busy to go to Albany so I have missed her and her baby. When I saw her and her baby

so glad. The baby looks angelic and bewitching. I watched the baby for a long time.

   The second thing that I did was go to the dentist with my younger son. He had to get four

wisdom teeth taken out because his orthodontist said to do that. He got the painful surgery

extract his four wisdom teeth. Unexpectedly from the next day, his lower face was swollen very

 seriously so he had to go to the dentist again. He couldn't open his mouth and he

felt the very sharp pain. He had to apply ice pack until his swelling subsided. The dentist changed
antibiotics to stronger than before. I had to take care of him more carefully and took him a
nutritious liquid diet for several days. After he got the wisdom teeth extracted, I was busy
taking care of him because his swelling was more serious than I thought. I didn't do my other
plans after that day and only focused on my son.
     The third thing that I did during spring break was I got my long hair cut. My friend and I went
to a Korean hair salon in New Jersey. After the skillful hair dresser cut and set my hair, my hair
was beautious. I like this short, a little curly and refined hair style.
    In sum during spring break I got a enough rest, met my charming friend and her lovely baby,
took care of my painful son and got my hair cut. It was a valuable period but it was too short.
I'm already looking forward to summer vacation.

Spring Break in the U.S.

           This spring break was excellent for many reasons. First I went to my Uncle’s home to visit my family. Second I went to New York City to visit some friends and because I miss New York City. Finally I went to Atlantic City.

            First of all I went to my uncle’s family home to see my cousins and hang out with them. Also we went and to some family friends’ houses for visit. The food there was very delicious. I love my family here and I had a very nice break with them.

            Second I went to New York City to visit some friends from Greece. I haven’t gone to New York City for a long time so I missed it a lot. Also, New York City is great plays but you have to be careful because it has a lot of dangerous and crazy people. Finally I had a fantastic time in New York City because we went with my friends to some Greek café and bars so I saw a lot of friends that haven’t seen for a long time.

             Third I went to Atlantic City with some friends from New York City. We spent two and half hours to get there, but the casino next to the beach is very nice. Atlantic City is a very wonderful place. Also I wine and $1100 this night so it was better than I was waiting to be.

             Lastly I came back to upstate New York to my uncle’s home. This spring break was very interesting and nice. Also I can’t wait for summer which is the largest break and best I think. In the end I hope you all had a wonderful break.  

Spring Break

My Spring Break was excellent. I had a lot of fun with my family. They came from Saudi Arabia to spend the Spring Break with me and my brother.

 

      First was ( the welcoming day )  I decorated my apartment with balloons and fabrics that said (welcome home) to surprise my family.

On Monday May 18^th, my family arrived in the U.S. I was so happy. I welcomed them in my small apartment. My beauteous niece brought me an adorable bouquet of flowers and my angelic nephew was surprised to see me.

 

      The next day we went to Disney world by car. It was a long trip but it also was fun. When we arrived at the hotel it was too late so we couldn’t do anything, we just slept.

The next day we went to the Magic Kingdom Park and we ate lunch in the Winnie the Poo restaurant. We took a photo with all the characters of Winnie the Poo cartoon. The other days we went to the other Parks and we had lunch in a famous restaurant in the parks. The food was delightful and the parks were bewitching and charming.

 

      The last thing was the shopping. We went to Woodburry four times, and we bought a lot of fancy clothes. We went to the Galleria Poughkeepsie and we watched movies .It was the most exciting days because we spent it in shopping and movies.

 

      Finally it was a fantastic Spring Break, because I spent it with my family and we had fun together. Any one wants to take break or holiday I suggest the Spring break, because the weather is so beautiful and it will be fun.

   

My spring break

My spring break was an excellent holiday. I went with my family to Florida by car. We reached Florida in two days. It was a long way there.

The road was very long between Florida and New York. We took two days. In the first day we stayed in Hampton inn. On the next day we arrived in Florida. When we reached Disney World everything was alluring.

The first day in Disney was great. We went to the Magic Kingdom. The only problem was very crowded. For instance, there is a game road took 120 minutes. We had dinner there after that we got back to the hotel.

In the next day we went to the Hollywood studios in Disney. it was enjoyable with the a great smell of popcorn and a huge status of the main characters of Disney. We had our breakfast and started to play. There was a game about movies. In the game there was a lot of actors with a classy look.

In the last day we went to the Animal Kingdom. It had a disgusting smell because of the animals. But we enjoyed that day.

After that day we prepared our bags and returned to New Paltz. I think it was a very long trip but it was perfect. Next time I will go to a new place in Florida.

A wonderful spring break

      I had an awesome spring break. Even though most students enjoyed their travel during spring break, I just stayed in New Paltz. But I still had an admirable break because I went to the mountains to ski, went to the amazing Japanese supermarket and made an alluring dessert.

     One of the fascinating movements during spring break was going to the mountain to ski. This was a moment I looked forward to for a long time because I never skied before. The ski area was frigid and still snowing. I often fell in the snow, the most kids were laughing at me. They were maybe just 9 or 10 years old, but they skied like professionals. Over and over I fell down but I enjoyed this time. Since I have enough experience of this time, I think next time I will ski better than the first time.

     Another outdoor activity was going to an amazing Japanese supermarket in New Jersey. This supermarket had many appealing Japanese goods such as snacks, makeup and electrical products. I’m crazy about Japanese candy therefore this for me was a delightful time.

     On the rest of spring break’s time I was laid back at home. I searched a dessert recipe online because I miss Chinese dessert. So I went to stop&shop to buy material that I needed. I made a lumpy mashed mango that I never did before. It’s kind of like yellow, and is the taste of coconut milk and mango dessert. It tastes is the same which we used to eat, me and sisters both love this dessert.

     These were my wonderful activities of spring break. I did delightful skiing, bought classy Japanese goods and made an appealing mashed mango dessert. I enjoyed this spring break.

My Spring Break in Florida

             I had an excellent spring vacation. My friends and I went to Miami and Orlando. We traveled to a lot of places during this vacation. This vacation had fun, surprise, and childish games. I enjoyed it.

             First, my friends and I had so much fun in Miami, we watched an NBA match. The match was so splendid and admirable. LeBron James is one of dazzling NBA players that we saw he and his amazing team defeated the other team. The second day, my friends and I went to South Beach. We enjoyed the warm sunshine on the awesome beach. We also saw so many classy and charming girls wearing bikinis on the beach. Finally, we returned to the cozy hotel.

            We had so much surprise in Key West. Next, my friends and I took a bus from our hotel in Miami to Key West. Key West is a small and wonderful island off of the southern end of Florida. My friends and I went to Hemingway’s house. When I arrived there and bought the ticket, I saw my professor Sarah. What a small world! That was a big surprise during my splendid journey. We said “how are you” to each other. Then, we visited Hemingway’s house. I saw that all cats have six toes. After that, we ate some lobsters in a famous seafood restaurant. Finally, we returned to the cozy hotel and made some plans for Disney World.

           After that, my friend and I played many childish games in Orlando. We went to Disney World and I thought that all these games were good for children. We behaved like children and play with children. It reminded us of our childhood.

           Finally, we came back to New Paltz. I was both exhausted and joyful. In sum I had an excellent vacation. It will give me some deep memories.

Today's Walk through New Paltz

Today we explored beautiful New Paltz. The warm sun was shining brightly, the birds were singing gayly, and a soft breeze was in the air. We made several stops along our long walk to take photos for a writing assignment. We played at the playground across from Van den berg Hall (VH), met some colorful metal people at Water Street Market, and explored the old Rail Trail down by the Wallkill River. The green grass is finally starting to grow and the little blue and white flowers are starting to bloom. On our walk back up Main Street, we found some onion grass along the sidewalk and picked it to smell the strong fragrance. Before returning to the classroom, we gathered in the field across from VH for some group photos by a gazebo. We really welcome the  fresh air and new life of springtime in New Paltz!

Should Students be allowed to use Technology in Class?

         Technology is very important for everyone. We have to put it in the class because first the class is more interesting With Technology. Second helps the students to remember the class, and the technology can help you with self-evaluate and understand easier.

          First of all class is more interesting with technology those days because technology this days became very good. Also class is more interesting because if you use technology in the class the students focus more. Also videos is very interesting for the students because videos is something how makes you want to see it and you learn the sometime.

          Second technology helps students to remember the class because if you go to the class and you just listening to the professor first, you will be boring at one point, and after the class you will maybe remember the half from what you heard, but if you watch a video is mach interesting and easier to remember almost everything. Also with the technology you can record all the class with video so when you go home you can watch the important parts of the class or all the class if you have time and with this way you can repeat and remember the lesson. With the technology in the class you can show, for example scientific videos or pitchers, and help you and the students remember not only the theory, but and the practical site, so you like this is more difficult to forget it.

            Third, class with technology helps students and professors with self-evaluate and understand easier because you can record yourself in the class and after when you go home you can watch the video again and correct your mistakes so the next time you will be better. Also with technology in the class you can understand the lesson easies because the professor can show videos, pitchers or whatever he thinks is the best example for the lesson, so the students can understand better. Finally some of the students including me is better at the practical thinks and they are not so good at the theories, so if you in clout the technology in the class you will help a lot this students to learn, and the rest also to understand and take better grades.

             Finally, technology is very important and interesting for the class, and makes the students to remember and repeat the class with a better and more interesting way. In my opinion technology has to be in the class.

Plan for Spring Break

          This spring break is going to be very good and exiting. My plans for the spring break is to go first to visit my uncles family. Also I will go to the New York City for a few days and finally I will go to Miami for the rest of the break.

          First of all I will visit my uncles’ family, how they live upstate New York. I will be there for a few days so I will see my cousins, aunt and uncle. Also we will go to visit some other friends houses who the also are from Greece so we will have very good time.

           Second, after my uncles house I will go to New York City for a few days to visit some friends from Greece. We didn’t plant anything yet, but we will probably go out for (club, café…). Finally we will meet again after a long time so I believe is going to be very good.

           Third, after New York City we will go to Miami to meet with some other friends. In Miami I believe is going to be very good because I don't like cold weather, and in Miami the weather is very good for me because is too hot. Finally I believe Miami is very good choosing for the spring break.

          Finally, I love break, so I can't wait for it, and I hope you all have a very good spring break.

  Spring break is coming soon. I’m really looking forward it. Actually, I’m broke so I can’t plan a long trip during spring break, so I’m planning to go skiing and learning how to drive. For this reason, I can’t wait for this spring break.
     When I come to New Paltz, some people were mention around that New Paltz has ski resort. I feel like to go skiing, but I always don’t have time to go to there. Now, I can take this spring break to go skiing. I have never ski before, I hope I won’t fall down really often.    The other thing I have to do in spring break is learning how to drive. My mother always talks my ears off, she want me to get a driver’s license as soon as possible.Thanks to I won’t go somewhere far away; therefore, I have a lot of time to concentrate on driving.     These two things is my plan for spring break, I hope it would be fun and also rich my experience in US.

My plans for spring vacation

     I have some plans for spring vacation.

     First, I'll goof off this weekend at home because I've been busy and feeling tired since I started going to college so I need to take a rest.

     Second, I'm going to go to a Korean hair shop in New Jersey to get a haircut because I like shorter hair than now.

     Third, I'm going to go to the Woodberry common outlet to buy my backpack and my son's sneakers. I've already shopped for my backpack around my village but I didn't find the one I like, so I'm going to go to the Woodberry common outlet.

     Fourth, maybe I'll go to the China town in Flushing. My Chinese friend suggested to my Japanese friend and me. I've never been to the China town so I accepted her suggestion with pleasure.

     Fifth, most importantly, I'll take care of my younger son because he's going to get his four wisdom teeth out on Wednesday March, 27. After taking out his wisdom teeth, maybe he'll have to eat only soft foods for a few days so I'll cook the foods for my younger son.

     In sum, I hope I can do all of my spring vacation plans.

Should students be allowed to use cellphone in class?

     I think students shouldn't be allowed to use cell phones in class. The reason is first, students can't concentrate on their class so they'll get a lower grade. Second, they will bother other students' concentration. Third, they will bother the teacher's teaching.
     First, if students use cellphones, they can't concentrate on their class. Some students choose to mute their cellphones and they text to their friends during all class time. They don't listen to their teacher. I think concentrating is important to get good grades so maybe they'll get low grades. Therefore students shouldn't be allowed to use cellphones in their class.
     Second, students using cellphones in their class will bother the other students' concentration. Students who sit next to the students using cellphones maybe are angry or interested in them so they also don't concentrate on their teacher. Therefore students shouldn't be allowed to use cellphones in their class because students using cellphones in their class will bother the other students.
     Third, students using cellphones in their class will bother the teacher's teaching. If all students concentrate on their teacher's speaking, the teacher will have a happy mind so they will teach eagerly. In contrast, if students don't look at the teachers when they speak to students, maybe teachers feel bad so they won't teach hard. Thus students shouldn't be allowed to use cellphones in their classroom because they will bother the teachers' teaching.
     In sum, I think most students don't control themselves so students shouldn't be allowed to use cellphones in their class.

My plane

          My friends and we are planning to go to New York City on the spring break. However I was thinking to go to Paterson and Atlantic city.

            First of all, we are going to New York City. And I’m going to visit one of my friend who is studying there. After, I’m going to see The Central Park. And I’m probably going shopping in Manhattan.

           Second, I’m going to Paterson. It’s a city in New Jersey State. It has many Arabian restaurants. I’m trying the food up there. And I might going shopping from Arabian stores.

          Third, I’m going to Atlantic city. It’s also in New Jersey State. I’m just going there to enjoy The Six Flags with my friends. It’s the most wonderful a Museum Park in the world. And I will probably hed  up to the beach over there.

         In conclusion, I hope to enjoy the plane that we set it up, and I hope everything will be fine. I wish to all of my classmates will enjoy during the spring break. God willing.

Students should never use cell phones in classes

                      Students should never use cell phones in classes. Students should focus on teachers, Some times cell phones are useful in classes, and some teachers think that is misbehaver.

                      First when students use the cell phones in classes they focus on the cell phones not on teachers . Students need to focus on their work with teachers to understand what happened in the classes. Cell phones are not necessary in classes because it makes students don’t focus in classes.

                    Second technology it’s important for some students. For example ,in E.S.L classes use dictionary on the cell phones. And some students in Math classes use the calculator .So there is some use for technology in classes.

                   Third some teachers think that’s misbehaviour to them. Some teachers might think it’s rude. And the others think it’s ok. So it depends on teachers. Therefore different teachers have different attitudes about cell phones.

                  Therefore students should pay attention to teachers not to cell phones. However students may use cell phone, if they are using a dictionary or calculator on the cell phone. In my opinion students should never use cell phones in classes, and if they want to use it they should ask the teachers permission.
